Mounting of Meopta Ballistic Turret on Riflescope
Ballistic Hunting Turret (BHT) allow a shooter to have three preset positions of vertical or horizontal correction. BHT is most often used to set the elevation adjustment, where in addition to the zero-distance; the shooter can simply make the pre-set number of clicks to move their zero-distance to longer ranges. However, the BHT can also be used for windage correction to compensate for effects of wind.
Application:
- BHT is carefully mounted on the riflescope according to the provided instructions. The installation does not require special tools.
- Riflescope with mounted BHT is sighted in as usual, generally to 100m at a shooting range or via electronic sighting system.
- After loosening of the main screw on the BHT the bottom arrow is set to the indicator line on the main tube and the screw is re-tightened. The elevation correction is now set for the sighted in distance.
Two additional distances can then be set by one of two methods
- Riflescope with mounted BHT is sighted in as usual to the second selected distance (e.g., 200m) and the position of BHT is set against the line by the second (middle) arrow.
or
- Riflescope with mounted BHT is sighted in as usual to the third selected distance (e.g., 300m) and the position of BHT is set against the line by the third (top) arrow.

- The number of clicks needed to compensate for the second and third distances can be calculated from the sighted in distances using Meopta’s Ballistic Calculator available online, or as a downloadable App for Apple and Android OS.
