Birchwood Casey Perma blue liquid for the best ways to touch up scratches, worn spots or even completely re-blue most guns. It will give a non-streaky, even blue-black finish to steel (except stainless). Perma Blue Liquid Gun Blue provide great blueing to metal that has already been thoroughly cleaned and is free of rust. Used Perma Blue for the complete bluing projects. It is very easy to use and is an excellent value for all of my small and large projects. Birchwood Casey Perma Blue Liquid Instructions

The Birchwood Casey Perma blue liquid is a good product to use to cold blue, but best if you strip the old blue and rust and prep the area to be blued. We recommend you don’t touch the metal with your bare hands during the process. Clean the metal with a degreaser and wire wool to remove dirt and grease. Once done, heat up the metal and then get an applicator or cotton ball and dab the Perma blue on it. It will turn a light grey, wash off after 30 to 60 seconds and apply again if you require a darker blue finish. We suggest you apply some gun oil to clean up any residue.
